3- Day Birth Doula Training

$825.00

This immersive birth doula training is designed for those who feel called to walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood. Rooted in both the heart + hands of birth work, we’ll move beyond simply learning what a doula does and explore how to truly support, advocate for, and hold space for families throughout their birth experience.

Together, we’ll dive into the physiology of birth, comfort measures and hands-on support, labor positions and movement, partner support, informed decision-making, advocacy, navigating different birth settings and outcomes, and the emotional side of being present in the birth space. You’ll have opportunities to practice skills, ask questions, work through real-life scenarios, and begin discovering what kind of doula you want to be.

We’ll also spend time learning about the early postpartum period and breastfeeding, including the first hours after birth, supporting the first latch, normal newborn feeding behaviors, common breastfeeding challenges, and the doula’s role in supporting feeding while recognizing when it’s time to refer to an IBCLC or other lactation professional.

And because becoming a doula is about more than what happens in the birth room, we’ll talk about the business side of birth work, too. We’ll cover getting your doula business started, contracts, liability insurance, setting your rates, communicating with potential clients, networking and building relationships within your local birth community, and creating a business that feels sustainable and authentic to you. We’ll have honest conversations about what it actually looks like to begin finding clients and building your name as a new doula.

This training is intentionally warm, intimate, and community-centered. You don’t need to come in knowing everything—or even feeling completely confident that you’re ready. Whether birth work has been calling you for years or you’re just beginning to explore the possibility, you are welcome here.

Our goal is for you to leave with more than information. We want you to walk away with practical tools, a deeper trust in yourself, meaningful connection with other doulas, and a strong foundation to begin supporting families and building your doula practice with confidence, intuition, and heart.

Come as you are. Leave ready to step into birth work.

Training takes place September 25th - 27th 9:00am - 5:00pm in Costa Mesa
